Functionality Compliance Tester

Job Purpose:

• Delivery of Compliance QA testing in Babel's QA department where the company provides Compliance testing services for the world’s leading games publishers.
• Testers are skilled Compliance testers who perform a vital role, in one or more platforms, which ultimately helps ensure the games pass the first party submission process.

Scope of Role:

• The job entails testing games software and producing quality reports following a structured testing methodology to the highest possible specified quality standards. This involves testing the game in a systematic way, based against defined set of criteria, identifying problems and communicating those issues via bug tracking databases and other mechanisms back to the Test Lead.
• You will test for Compliance issues in the software, including TCRs, TRCs, or Lotcheck guidelines. Helping our client’s pass their products through the certification/submission process smoothly and painlessly is Babel’s number one priority.
• The Tester needs to bring to the role knowledge of the console hardware manufacturer’s requirements and to have worked on several titles which have passed through submission.
• The Tester will also be expected to perform Functionality QA tasks as and when needed, when there are no projects that require their Compliance expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day execution of Compliance QA test cases as directed by the Test Lead or QA Supervisor as appropriate to the project
• Reporting Compliance QA bugs and raising alerts regarding major issues related to project bugs, timeframe of tasks assigned or checklist inadequacies
• Working shifts, rotation or offset working hours as defined by the Resources manager in accordance with contractual work agreements.

Other Duties:

• Performing Functionality testing when necessary.
• Raising alerts for checklist or tools improvements as necessary.

• Clarifies/discusses/questions any changes or instructions which may unchecked result in the issuing of inaccurate information/data.
